Welcome

Unfortunately, I don't have time to work on this any further. It's up for adoption.

The Recorder is a Web-based information system for small nonprofits, such as alumni associations, churches and other congregations, neighborhood associations, etc. It records data on members, guests, contacts, groups, pledges, contributions, and other things.

The Recorder is designed not only to be useful, but also to take into account the financial and operational challenges small nonprofits face.

System attributes include:

  • Powerful feature set
  • Easy to use
  • Easy to learn
  • Costs little or nothing to run
  • Flexible, letting work be distributed to different people working at different times in different places
  • Low hardware and software requirements
  • Cross-platform (Windows, Mac, Linux, etc.)
  • Interacts with word processors, spreadsheets, accounting packages, ...

The Recorder is open source, covered by the GNU general public license (GPL). Any person or organization can use it at no charge. See the license for more details.

You can help by looking at the demonstration version, and providing feedback on the open discussion forum at the Sourceforge forums for the Recorder project.

You can also look at the project's summary on Sourgeforge.

Thanks to Sourceforge for hosting this project.
